Casting Lessons at Josef Chromy winery

Interested in learning how to cast a fly for the first time, or perhaps you are looking to improve your intermediate level casting?

Rigging your rod, basic casts, loop control, accuracy, distance, shooting line and ease of casting are all covered, as well as double-hauling and aerial mends for more experienced anglers. If this sounds like what you are after, then book a fly casting clinic with us, held on our private lake at Josef Chromy winery, just 10 minutes north of Launceston. These classes are taught by our very experienced team of guides, all of whom easy-going teachers. Beginners, advanced casters, women, men and teenagers are all welcome.

Our class sizes are kept small, so that each participant gets one-on-one teaching, according to their skill level and experience. We’ll also make sure that your rod and line are perfectly matched to get the best out of your equipment, as well as give you the opportunity to try some of the latest rods available from Sage, Scott and Orvis.
