Once again RiverFly is offering one-on-one instruction and tuition to kickstart your skills for the season. These are personalised to your learning goals, and featuring a mixture of nymphing and dry fly. We still aim to sight fish at least part of the day, as this is the funnest way to learn.
Ideal for beginners or intermediates wishing to expedite the learning process or overcome a stumbling block to your success.
Who are the personalised days designed for?
These RiverFly days are designed for (potential) fly fishers who may have never seen a rod before, right up to those who have done a little bit of fly fishing but would like to advance the basics further – eg learn to shoot the line better, cast into the wind, stop tangles.
These days are designed in individual segments (eg: the basic pickup and cast, shooting line, loop control, preventing tangles) that can be mixed and matched to create the ideal day purpose built for the individual.
As a client once told me, you have to realise first what you don’t know in order to learn.
More advance fly fishers and streamcraft?
Streamcraft is another thing we can work on during these days, and is the term fly fishers give to cover the tactics of fly fishing involved in approaching and catching fish. This could cover such topics as selection of fly, approach to the fish and presentation. These days will be focusssed on getting you onto feeding fish and learning by sight fishing to them.
