Meander river mayfly feeder
Here’s what’s hot for the week ahead. Thursday Showday (Launceston) marks the traditional start to the mayfly season, and the South Esk and Upper Macquarie look like they’ll be perfect. Stonefly have already made an appearance on these stream. Higher up on the Central Plateau, and the frog-feeders have started. Look for fish laying parallel to undercut banks, waiting to ambush unsuspecting Woolly Buggers and Fur Flies!
