As this week’s rain breaks one of the driest and hottest March spells on record, we are looking forward to the onset of some great mayfly fishing. In between rainstorms last week we experienced our first solid baetid hatch of the season. Size #18 slate-grey duns trickled out of the riffles, and lined up in the runs, where trout were eager to take our F-Flies and Iron Blue Duns.
