Each season RiverFly offers Limited Edition trips: trips that take our customers to rarely visited wilderness areas, hatch events, or trophy waters. We are excited to be booking four limited-edition trips for season 2013 / 2014, covering sea-trout, Western Lakes, trophy trout and women’s fly fishing. Bookings are on a first-in, first serve basis, with a limited group size of four anglers (plus two guides) per trip. Please contact us if you would like to find out more about these trips, including booking:
October 2013 – Sea Trout Exploration Trip
During October 2013 we are excited to be running a three-day, two-night sea trout adventure. We’ll be targeting two remote estuaries and lagoons for the spring-run sea trout, which will be hunting migratory schools of whitebait up-river. We will also be taking two rafts, allowing us to target more of the river, and more of the trout.
Timing is everything when chasing sea-runners, and over the years we’ve found the last week in October to be one of the most reliable times of the year.
Cost: $1850pp, including guiding, and all campout meals. 25-27th of October, 2013
November 2013 – Women’s Wilderness Huts Trip – hosted by Simone Hackett
Simone Hackett (and the RiverFly guiding team) will be hosting a group of female fly fisher’s at RiverFly Wilderness Huts during November, introducing them to the famed Western Lakes fishery and it’s wild brown trout. This is ideal for ladies looking to head out on their first wilderness fly fishing trip, improve their skills and experience the beautiful World Heritage Area & Walls of Jerusalem National Park. This trip is all about women doing someting they normally wouldn’t get the chance to do and meet other ladies in the sport. $2250 pp, including all accommodation and meals at RiverFly Wilderness Huts.
January 2014 – Generation X Wilderness Huts Trip
We are running a trip in mid-January, for Generation X fly fishers looking for adventure, and long day’s of wilderness fly fishing. Just a bunch of like-minded young(ish!) anglers, covering as much productive water as possible each day through the Walls of Jerusalem National Park, and stretching the truth over a bottle of wine each evening. If you are a keen and fit Gen X angler, looking to join a group of similarly experienced fly fishers at the Wilderness Huts, then drop us a line. $2250 pp, including all meals and accommodation at RiverFly Wilderness Huts.
January 2014 – Trophy Trout Wilderness Expedition
Based from our Wilderness Huts, this is a four day trip, chasing some of Tasmania’s largest trout among the World Heritage Area and beyond. Spend two day’s hunting trophy lakes, and two day’s wading trophy rivers, while spending each night at RiverFly Wilderness Huts. $2625 pp, including all accommodation and meals.
