Simone and I are very excited today to learn that RiverFly Wilderness Huts have just been nominated as a finalist in the 2013 Tasmanian Tourism Awards! After years of planning, and our epic winter of building, it’s absolutely awesome to achieve such a nomination, and to be the first fly fishing business to be nominated for the state-based awards.

Sincere thanks goes out to all the unofficial builders and sherpas, we couldn’t have done it with out you: Greg French, Frances Latham, James Newstead, Mal Gulliver, Greg Hynes, Lester Jones, Isabelle Vescova,  Aza Errington, Rob Hackett, Mick Hetherington, Bruce Jordan and the fireplace at the Bronte Park Inn.

And of course thanks to all of those customers who’ve travelled near and far to experience this wonderful and unique place.

Lastly, thanks to Sim! (Especially for walking 9 kilometres with our 1 year old strapped to her back, all for a 10mm drill bit) you rock babe!
