Featuring narration by renowned Tasmanian angler Greg French, Hatch brings BBC style documentary making to fly fishing, and features some of the World's greatest hatches. These include mayflies hatches on the chalkstreams of England, mayfly leapers in the wilds of Tasmania's Western Lakes, and cicada feeders in New Zealand's gin-clear waters. New in stock are Gamakatsu Saltwater Hooks (SL12S and Bonefish), as well as Hare's Ear in our Ice Dubbing range. The hares ear dubbing which features a UV-reflective dubbing should be red-hot on traditional Hare's Ear nymph patterns and Fastwater Duns. Fly Fishing Tasmania March Mini-Report
Many apologies for the delay between reports...we've been busy with our young son, and our new fly shop www.flyshop1864.com.au . Now, onto the fishing: February saw the arrival of the hoppers to the rivers of the Northern Midlands, in particular the South Esk, Lake, lower Macquarie and Meander rivers. The large yellow hoppers were a little low on numbers on all the rivers, other than the lower Macquarie, however the small brown and orange hoppers were great trout fodder on...
